For over 15 years, Blaine Tech has provided groundwater monitoring and related services at this decommissioned refinery/active regional fuel and chemical distribution facility.
Gauging of 700+ wells and sampling of 400+ wells is performed at wells spanning 8 aquifers and at depths up to 1,200’ bgs.
Multiple sampling methodologies are utilized including EPA Low-Flow sampling, traditional purging, depth discrete no-purge sampling and sampling of groundwater beneath free product layers. Well diameters vary from ¾” to 20”.
All required equipment is provided including Grundfos RF2 variable speed submersible pumps, QED ST1102M High Pressure bladder pumps with 500’ drop tubes and weights, Grundfos SQE 3” submersible pumps, pneumatic pumps, Waterra inertial pumps, peristaltic pumps, Hydrasleave depth discrete samplers, bailers, pressure transducers, 500’ water level indicators, and 200’ Interface probes.
Well development has also been performed with as much as 2,500 gallons removed from certain wells. HVAC and Oxygen/Ozone Injection pilot tests and ongoing performance monitoring has also been performed.
All work requires adherence to site specific HSE requirements and permitting procedures.
